Dear Father in Heaven, We thank You for the blessed privilege to call You our Father. We thank You for those who have gone on before us, who have helped pave the way for us, and on whose shoulders we stand. We thank You for the awesome privilege of preaching Your Word.
Father, tomorrow Your men will stand before people who are hurting, people who are broken, people who feel that the world around them is caving in. We will stand before people who are burdened with what seems like the weight of the world. We will stand before some who have been shackled by sin and Satan. We will stand before men and women who are weeping because of some crisis in their life.
Dear God, some of Your preachers who are reading these words find themselves in these same circumstances. They are hurting, they are broken, they are burdened, and they are weeping due to some crisis in their life.
Father, we pray for Your power to help bring strength, even when we feel weak. We pray for Your help to bring assurance, even when we have questions. Please bless Your men with wisdom to bring Your Word, even when they feel defeated. Please give them a special measure of Your Grace, even when they think they don't deserve it. We pray for Your peace to help bring comfort, even when we speak through our own tears.
