Reliance

Father:

Bless these our brothers. As they stand before people tomorrow, The Book in hand, head and heart may their confidence be primarily in Thee. These men have spent years in training for this day, hours in preparing this lesson. They have dissected, exegeted, interpreted. They have outlines, illustrated, and invested in approaches. They have withstood the enemy, avoided becoming frustrated over the minute that has presented itself as significant, striven to ignore the critics who drone on over their weaknesses. They are doing well. But Father, may they now rest in You. May their confidence not be in the external but the Eternal. Knowing that regardless of what happens, You are all we ultimately need. May our confidence ever be in You above all others.
