A Prayer for the New Year

Heavenly Father,

Today, we give You thanks for preachers around the world who will be speaking forth Your Truth on Sunday. As we stand on the brink of a New Year, many of these men will be challenging Your people to make needed changes in their lives. Please allow these preachers to speak boldly, yet with great love and kindness. Give them wisdom as they choose the proper words. Give them a sense of peace, protection, and Your presence as they proclaim Your mighty Word. May those who listen to Your men preach see in them a renewed hope for the Church of Jesus in the coming year. May all that we do honor You and glorify our Savior.
