A Prayer for Focus

God,

Bless these Your servants. May they remember their mission tomorrow as they preach and teach. Help them to remember that they are to hold You up as sovereign, to glorify Your Son, to speak as Your Spirit has instructed, to love as if You were the speaker, to be patient, forgiving, bold, and most of all to point each hearer to Your Way, Truth, and Life. Help each to avoid those distractions that would minimize the eternal, to not lose focus by defending positions that are not Biblical, to askew discouragement that would defeat our passion, to defeat spiritual foes not physical ones. And bless each as we strive for balance. Thank You for loving us and thank You for entrusting us with the Word of Grace and Truth.
