Holy Father, Your men who preach Your Word, once again found themselves serving You in difficult times. We are reminded of preachers in the past like Noah, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Jonah, Peter, Paul, and many others.
Dear God, in our day, it seems that everyone around us and everything around us is crying out for acceptance on an entirely new level. We are being led to believe that any disagreement we present equals hate. Father, Your men feel the heat every week from the press, the people, and the promotor of all evil himself to conform to society.
In the face of this pressure, please help Your preachers to be bold, to be willing to speak the Truth in love, to preach Your whole counsel, to love You and Your Word more than we do this world. As these men of Yours stand tomorrow to proclaim the Word, help them to never forget that they have You, the entire weight of Scripture, and a great cloud of witnesses surrounding them.
