A prayer that our preaching affects us...

Father:

Thank You for allowing us the privilege of preaching and teaching Your Word. Thank You that that task allows these Your men the opportunity to spend more time in Your Word, to be influenced by Your Word, help them to allow it to change their lives, so that they may be compassionate like You, so they may be aware of the hurts and the needs of those around them, so they may be full of grace and truth. Bless them as Your Word teaches them to love and then aid them as the speak those truths in love. May our preaching first affect us. May Your Word impact our hearts and our souls deeply. May they find in Your Word peace for their troubles, hope for the future, and assurance of Your presence in the present. Father, we are thankful for them and ask that You would richly bless them.
