Dear God of Peace, when those of us who preach, gather with your people tomorrow, many who join us will have troubled hearts. It is also likely that many of Your men who preach will have torn and troubled hearts. We pray particularly today for Your men who will preach Your Word while they are hurting.
We pray that You will fill their hearts, minds, and souls with Your peace. We do not pray for the peace that this world offers, but Your peace, the peace that passes all understanding. Please, dear God, allow Your men to rest in You. Please let us feel Your peace as we preach Your Word. May that peace comfort Your men to such a degree that it will permeate their lives. Father, may the peace that is Your men, pour out of them into the lives of Your people who are gathered to worship You.
