Increase our faith in Your Way

Father:

I pray that You bless and protect the faith and hearts of these Your men. There are so very many voices in this world crying out that the church is passé, irrelevant, and dying. May these hear Your voice above those who are only parroting what scoffers have said for centuries and know that Your Kingdom is impactful to every generation, relevant in any culture, eternal, and never ending. Increase our faith, decrease our doubt. There are voices (as it seems there have always been) who say preaching is no longer effective, that a younger generation will not listen to a preacher, that we need abandon what we do. But may these Your men boldly listen to You and know that it is You who planned to use preaching, that You sent not an entertainer, not a puppeteer, not a dialogue facilitator but Your Son as a Preacher. For those who have allowed their faith to shift, may they be encouraged by You, the ultimate Encourager. Increase our belief, our faith, in You and Your ways. Bless these Your men as they preach and teach Your Way through Your Word tomorrow. May they be encouraged that in so doing they please You - and may that ever be enough.
