Vessels of Clay

Father:

Thank You for Your Wisdom in all You have done. Thank You for bringing Your Word to men and women in vessels of clay. There are so many ways You could have chosen, but to give us a pure and unchanging Word and then to provide the most relatable of delivery methods - earthen vessels. These bits of regenerated clay, only different from the people we talk to because of the blood of Christ and its influences. Bless those who listen, may they never forget that we are fallible but Your Word is not. Bless those who preach, may we never forget that we are fallible but Your Word is not. Thank You for the man hearing this prayer now, thank You that he has chosen to spend his life proclaiming Your truth, Your grace, Your love, Your Son. Bless him in his time in preparing and in presenting those. Thank You that his work will always be essential, and that Your Word will never be irrelevant and will always accomplish It’s purpose.
