When There is Great Loss

Dear Father,

We approach Your glorious Throne on behalf of your men who will stand before your people with Your plentiful Word on Sunday. Dear God, these men who belong to you will do their best to bring a message from You to those who have suffered great loss.

Some who hear your men some have lost their spouse, some have lost children, parents, brothers, sisters, or the nearest of friends.  Some who come to listen have lost their homes or their source of income. Some have lost their purpose in life and some have lost their way. Those who have suffered loss come longing to hear a message from You.

Father, through their own pain as a result of personal loss we plead with you to strengthen these men of Your’s during this time of loss so that the Word they deliver is a message of comfort, a message of peace, a message of love, a message of contentment, and a message of hope that can only come from You.

In the Mighty Name of the One who fills our souls during times of loss, the Name of Jesus, we pray, Amen
