We Await the Morning
Father,
We await the morning. We pray and work and work and pray. We go about our weekly rounds. We plan. We prepare. And we wait. It’s Saturday, a day that may find us doing yard work, or watching football, or hanging out with family, or rounding out the edges on tomorrow’s lesson, or finishing out last-minute details of things we didn’t get done all week. We might have a funeral or a hospital call to make. But we wait. We await the morning. It’s Saturday and we wait for Sunday. For Sunday is the day we get to be with Your Family, Sunday is the day we get to deliver Your Word. Yes, Lord, every day belongs to You, but Sunday is special. For Sunday is the day You told us to remember. You must have anticipated it too. It’s Saturday, and we await the morning. Bless us as we pray, prepare, plan, and wait. Help us not to fear it, for some will face unintentional dragons. Help us not to dread it, for some will encounter unfair critics. Help us not to be anxious, for some doubt their skills. Help each of these, Your men, to rejoice in it for we will present Your Truths. Help each of these, Your men, to relax in it for You will be with us. Help each of these, Your men, to know that they are loved, by You, with an everlasting love - and help each to reflect that love. It’s Saturday and we can hardly wait for Your Day tomorrow!
In Jesus Name,
AMEN
