This Holy Day

Dear Father in Heaven,

We pray for Your men who will proclaim Your life-giving, life-changing Word on Sunday. They will be preaching to people who have dealt with many presents in recent days. May those of us who preach help the hearers to feel Your presence. Your preachers will preach to people who have feasted on sweets. May we help them feast upon the sweetness of the Good News.

We will preach to many whose hearts are filled with joy from being with family and friends. May Your preachers fill the minds and hearts of those who hear them with the unsearchable riches of Christ. Your preachers will speak to people who have enjoyed the holidays. May we help those who hear us revel in this Holy Day. Thank You, Dear God, for each one of these men who have committed their lives to the proclamation of Your marvelous Word. In Jesus Name, we Pray, Amen.
