God’s Gift to Preachers

Dear Loving Father,

We pray today that You will help those of us who preach to look at the opportunity to preach as a gift of Your grace. Help us to never think that we are able to preach because of our wisdom, our knowledge, our understanding, our goodness, or our creativity. Like our brother Paul, help us to consider ourselves blessed to preach and see ourselves as the least of all the saints.

Father, we thank You for allowing us to be forever grateful that You allow us to preach the unfathomable riches of Jesus to people who are starving for more. May we also understand that the grace of Your wisdom is given to us, for others. Help us to focus our preaching on the needs, hearts, and lives of those who hear us rather than on our own.
