Relying on God

Dear Father in Heaven, in a world that views self-reliance as a virtue, we pray that men who preach Your word will see the need and value of relying on You.

May we rely upon You as we study the Word throughout the week. May we rely on You as we stand to proclaim Your Word. Father, help us to remember that You are at work as we study and as we preach. Please remove any arrogance from our hearts. Help us to always remember that the power is not in our ability but in Your Word. Dear God, please forgive us when we begin to think that we can do this without You.
