Being Bold

Dear Father in Heaven,

We pray for Your preachers that they will be bold in their proclamation of Your Word on Sunday. We pray that we will be bold like Paul was in the face of persecution, physical concerns, and even the care of the church every day. We pray that we will be bold like Steven, even if it means we lose our lives. We pray that we will be bold like other men of God who were arrested, beaten, and put to death because of their preaching.

Help us not to be bold because we are tremendous or strong or capable, but may our boldness be only in Jesus. May those who hear preachers proclaim Your Word recognize that we have been with Jesus. I
