The Land Where We Live

God,

Thank You for the land we live in. This land has blessed us in so many ways. From this land, we have been allowed to launch Your Good News into all the world. From this land, we have been blessed to support good works and the spread of Your word. In this land, we have been granted freedom to worship without fearing for the lives or safety of those worshipping.

Father, help us never to take that for granted but help us never to allow this freedom to lead us to apathy. Help us to be Your People, Christians, and never put our nation before You. Our allegiance is to You. Bless any of Your servants tomorrow as they strive to keep this in proper balance. And, Father, as we lead and as we worship in freedom tomorrow, may we be aware of those in many places who do not share this security. Thank You for the example of faith they are to us. Bless them and protect them. All in Your will.
