Guard their hearts

Father:

In the midst of the myriad of challenges Your ministers face today we pray for them. We ask that You guard them. We pray that they will not become cynical when faced with the ridiculous both in and out of the congregation. We pray that they will not become bitter when they or their family are attacked. We pray as will keep their heart and motives pure when they encounter those who are just playing games. We pray they will focus on You in their worship as they deal with matters pertaining to aiding others in their worship. We pray they will not be drawn to covetousness in a culture that promotes always having more. We pray they will not be distracted from preaching Jesus in a time when extremes beckon us. We pray they will remain true to and preach Your Word in a world that seeks entertainment. We pray for them. Bless them and may they realize Your presence in their lives.
