A prayer for those who preach

Dear Loving Father,

Sometime today, men around the world will stand and proclaim to Your people, the unsearchable riches of Jesus. Father, we pray that you will give them a clear mind, a calm spirit, and a heart filled with love and compassion. We know that many of these men have spent countless hours preparing themselves for this moment. Father, may they know that You are present with them, that you are proud of the work they have done and of what they will do today. We pray for inner strength for them. We pray that their confidence will not be in themselves, but that it will be completely in You. We thank you for the sacrifices they make each week to minister to Your people and to prepare lessons that will inform, inspire, and provide insight. Father, bless these men with grace and Truth.
