Dear Father in Heaven, During this time of year, we are especially mindful of our parents and on this weekend of our early fathers. Most people who gather for worship will remember the good they saw in their Dad. There will be people who will assemble who do not have good memories of their fathers.
Many preachers will spend time preaching about fathers on Sunday. Some will talk about the good traits of godly fathers. Some will give examples from Scripture of the kinds of fathers men should be and should not be. Dear God, may every preacher of Your Word point the people who hear us to You. May we be reminded and remind Your children worldwide that You are a gracious, loving, caring, compassionate, forgiving, concerned, fair, and righteous Father. May we rejoice because we have a Father in Heaven who loves us supremely. In the Name of Your Son Jesus, we pray, Amen.
