Pre-Lectureships Scoops

Pre-lectures scoops. One of the major events on The Jenkins Institute’s calendar is the Freed-Hardeman Lectureships. Jeff has attended for over 40 years now without missing a year and I’ve missed one in 38 years. We will for about the fifth year present each day (Tu-Th) at 12:45 on the Main Aud in Loyd a session they call Preacher Therapy (and, yes, there will be giveaways :)).They are preceded by the Sunset Lectures that Jeff is at this week and followed up by the Faulkner Lectures that Dale will be at, so we'll call this pre-lectureships scoops and here are some scoops for you to talk about. 

AL: The Regency church in Mobile is looking for a Full-Time Young Adult Minister. This minister will focus his ministry on the 20s and 30s age group while sharing the pulpit with the other ministers. “This minister will focus on building spiritual relationships, preaching the gospel from the pulpit, evangelizing millennials, and leading the young adult class.” They are looking for “a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Bible or ministry, a talent in building relationships with young adults, a love and ability to deliver meaningful Biblical sermons that connect, and a passion to make a difference in the Kingdom.” Interested send resume to Regencyministersearch@gmail.com.

FL: Scoop to Billy Smith. The Destin church is looking for a full-time “dynamic speaker” to be their preacher. They have about 150 full-time members and around 50 seasonal members.  Interested candidates email resume or call/text David Lamon at 850 238-6252, DavidLamon@Live.com. GA: The Chestnut Mountain congregation in Braselton is looking for a married man with experience. Their preacher is retiring. They have recently renovated their building and can seat 175-200. MO: The Park Hills church is looking for a full-time preacher. Park Hills in about an hour south of Saint Louis. They want to grow and have less than 100 in attendance. They do have elders. They listed the following preferences: A married man with children still in the home.  Ability to effectively incorporate audiovisual enhancements into lessons.  They ask that interested men send two audio/visual recordings of recent sermon presentations and a resume to Tom Nations, tnations@juno.com or 920 PCR 728 Perryville, MO 63775.
