Okinawa: The church in Okinawa is pleading for someone to come to preach the gospel. The church is small but capable of supporting someone in Okinawa.  If you wish to know more about this, call Jim Dewbre   918 839-7477. 

AR/TN:  Scoop to Jerry Elder. Kenneth Pinkley is leaving North Heights in Batesville, AR and going to Corpus Christi. The church in Batesville will be looking for a new YM.

AR/TN: The self-scoop to Will Hester: He is leaving Osceola on good terms and moving to Skullbone, TN to work with Pleasant View church. Osceola is now searching for a minister. They have 3 elders and 2 deacons. They would like someone who is outgoing, young and married. They offer a house along with a salary. AL: Scoop to Lonnie Jones. The Meridianville congregation is looking for a full time youth minister. Meridianville is in the Huntsville area. They have 7 elders. TN: The Main Street Church of Christ in Milan is searching for a Family Life Minister.  The main focuses of this position are: “To create and support an environment which will facilitate the spiritual growth of all members of the Main Street congregation. To organize, manage, and ensure the viability of the Connect Groups of Main Street and will support one-on-one work such as Bible studies, ministering to non-attendees, shut-ins, elderly, etc. To support, champion, reinforce, and assist the youth activities of the congregation, alongside our 8 youth deacons.” Main Street has an attendance of about 300 with a lot of young people and young families. TX: Scoop to James Shaw. The New Road Church of Christ is looking for a pulpit minister. They are a church of about 250. The listing is quite long and I will try to summarize. Places in quotes are directly from their description. “The successful candidate will have a degree with a major or heavy emphasis on Biblical Studies from an approved Bible Institute or College.”  “Candidates for employment must sign a statement affirming their agreement with and support of worship, teaching, and behavior practices defined in the Articles of Incorporation of the New Road Southwest Church of Christ, Inc.  Annual affirmation of agreement and support is required. Sexual Misconduct: Attend annual training sessions and comply with the requirements of the Sexual Misconduct Policy of the New Road Church of Christ.  Work Ethic: Professional employees of the New Road Church of Christ are required to work diligently and with focus on their duties for a minimum average of 40 hours per week. This minimum average does NOT include Sunday and Wednesday worship assemblies or Bible classes or any voluntary activities. A posting of office hours will be required with a minimum of 12 hours per week in office.” Job requirements section includes: “Emphasize the distinctive nature of the Church, and guide Christians to not only believe but also be able to give an answer to anyone about what we teach and practice. Motivate Christians to be involved in works of service and evangelism – be a sparkplug of enthusiasm. Visit members in their homes to encourage to love and good works. Visit members who require special attention whether due to illness, bereavement, incapacitation, or discouragement. Greet those who visit our assemblies and visit with them in their homes.”
