TN: Tom Harrison has been selected to be the new preacher at Lynchburg.
TN: Buddy Johnson will be working with the church in Allons near Cookeville.
MS/AL:Greg Pollock has accepted the pulpit work at Cornerstone Church of Christ in Florence.
TX: The Oldham Lane Church in Abilene, is seeking an additional team member to work with University students. This is a newly created position that will allow the individual to build the University Ministry from the ground up. The goal for the University Minister would be to make and grow disciples among college students. Efforts to accomplish this goal might include establishing a presence on the campuses, engaging in various activities, teaching Bible class, conducting devotionals, doing one-on-one Bible studies, event trips, etc. Oldham Lane has an average attendance of 700+. She is served by 9 shepherds. Salary range is $50 to $60k. Simple IRA option with up to 3% and 15 days paid time off. Apply at apply@olcoc.com.
TN: The church of Christ at Millview in Franklin is seeking a full time Minister. They are a congregation of 225 members. Franklin is a beautiful and historic town located just south of Nashville with a growing population of over 80,000. OK: Myron Bruce has accepted the pulpit minister’s position with the Southwest Church of Christ in Oklahoma City. He leaves his work with East Texas Christian Academy in Tyler.
KY: The Poole church is in search for a full-time pulpit preacher. The current preacher is moving September 1st on good terms. They have 35 members in a growing community. They have two elders. NC: This scoop to the always helpful Gary Hampton. The Pike Road church in Pantego is in need of a full-time minister. They have 90-100 in attendance and have a brick 4 bedroom, 2 bath house, with carport. It is in a rural area. Interested? Contact: GR Fletcher 252 935-5338 fletchers@rsnet.org.
SC/OK: The Twin City church in Batesburg-Leesville, SC is looking for their next full-time preacher. Tony Lopez is moving back closer to home (TX) to be the preacher for the Valliant congregation. They average 25-30 on Sunday mornings, in a town of about 5,500 who need to hear the truth, most for the first time in their lives. The new preacher will be required to preach one sermon on Sunday mornings (they do not meet on Sunday evenings at this time). He will also need to teach the adult class on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. He will not be required to use PowerPoint or Keynote, but they do have a good projector and it is available if he wishes to use it. They are praying and patient for the right man. Are you that man? AR: The Nettleton church in Jonesboro is looking for a full-time minister to work along-side and under the oversight of the Nettleton elders to proclaim the gospel. TN: One more for the scoop blog: Double Springs church of Christ is looking for a preacher. Good church on the west side of Cookeville. Between Cookeville and Baxter. Probably around 150 members. I am not sure if they are looking for part-time or full-time. Eric Collins was their former preacher. He followed Mike Webb.
