NV: The self-scoop to Mark Bassett. He was selected to be the preacher at the Bright Angel church in Las Vegas. The previous preacher, J.B. Myers, will be moving to Arkansas to be closer to family.
TN: Scoop to FH Gates. Keith Pickard, who has been the youth and family minister at LaVergne has accepted the pulpit minister position at Highland Heights in Lebanon.
AL: The College Avenue Church in Enterprise is seeking a full-time evangelist. Their attendance ran about 170 pre-COVID. They have an established team of five elders and twelve deacons. Enterprise is a very diverse military community, right outside Fort Rucker, the US Army Aviation Center of Excellence. They “will consider applicants who are scripturally sound, socially engaged, and committed to expanding the borders of the Kingdom.” Applicants must be experienced, focused, self-directed, and have a passion for evangelism. There is also the opportunity to serve with Wiregrass Christian Academy [pre-K-6] and Wiregrass Christian Youth Camp. CA: The Yucaipa church with about 24 members is looking for a man to come help them. They are looking for a full-time evangelist. Not just a pulpit preacher but a true evangelist. They would like someone younger but are not locked to that. They want someone energetic and ambitious for the Lord. They will be getting some extra funds for the work in January but immediately can afford $500.00 per week. This will also increase as the congregation grows. TX: The Blossom Church of Christ is searching for a part-time youth minister. They have about 150 members and around 30 kids in middle to high school. They have a very active and supportive youth group that attends summer camps at FHU (Horizons and Mid-South). They also participate in the Dallas L2L convention with great support from the congregation. They are active year-round. VA: The Christiansburg church is looking for a full-time preacher. Qualifications: Formal preaching school or Biblical studies education along with full-time preaching experience preferred. They offer a salary and a large home. They are looking for a “Scripturally-grounded preacher committed to glorifying God, edifying members, and evangelizing in the community.” Their attendance runs about 55 and they have elders and deacons. They want a married man whose wife will take a very active role in the Church and community. They are an established congregation of 100 years located in a quiet, residential neighborhood within the highly-rated Sylvania school district. Compensation package includes a 4-bedroom house located beside the property, all utilities included, paid vacation, $60k-70k salary, and an opportunity for the minister’s wife to be the part-time church secretary for an additional $8-10k.
