Time for a Scoop update
Some churches have come back strong from COVID, others are struggling. In a Webinar Wednesday at 9am we will look at some seemingly significant characteristics of churches who have come back strong and at what can be done to aid those who are struggling. That will be streamed live on TJI’s Facebook page and posted on our website. Now, Scoops.

TN: The Shipps Bend Church, Old State Route 50 in Centerville, a congregation of about 15 is looking for a preacher. Contact: Grady Atkinson 931 729-3413.
TN: Bartlett Woods in Memphis announced that they would be making a change in the pulpit.
MI: The Church in Grayling is looking for a full-time minister. The previous minister is moving to Colorado for a position at a children's home. The congregation is small, just 20-25 members, however they are very hospitable and kind. The job comes with a preacher’s house that has recently been remodeled. TN: Florence church in Murfreesboro is looking for both an associate and a youth minister. Two positions, both part time. TX: The Church of Christ in Champions (Houston) is seeking a full-time minister who will “provide a balanced ministry of preaching, teaching, visiting, and assisting the elders in implementing our vision of the church as we grow to full potential in membership and spiritual growth in Christ.” They are a congregation of 465 members with new facilities and room to grow. They want a man who is energetic and enthusiastic. Prior experience in full-time ministry is preferred. AL: Thad Williams has been named as the new YM for the Atlas church near Florence.
TN: The Tusculum church in Nashville has hired Mark Adams who was living in Corpus Chisti, TX to be their new preacher.
IL: The church in Christopher, centered geographically about 70 miles west of Evansville, IN, 70 miles southeast of St. Louis, MO, and about 70 miles northwest of Paducah, KY is looking for a preacher. They are a small senior congregation, mainly retired members, of approximately 33. Christopher has a population of about 2400. The current minister has been with them for 33 years and is retiring at the end of this year. They want a minister who will preach, edify the saints, and evangelize the lost. TN: The congregation at Allisona in College Grove, is looking for a part time minister. They want someone “who is an encourager, teacher and devoted follower of Christ that can take the scriptures and apply them to everyday life.” Allisona averages 45 members in attendance. John Miller has been with them for a number of years and is going to be working more with Disaster Relief and Adventures Jesus Ministries and is looking for a part-time preaching work. OH: The Marlboro church in Louisville is in search of a full-time pulpit minister. They are a 60-70 member congregation with two elders and one deacon. Louisville is located just East of Canton.
