MI/AZ: The Waterford Church is seeking a Youth & Family Minister to fill the role vacated when their previous minister of 7 ½ years, Daniel Smith, accepted a pulpit preaching position in Surprise, AZ.  Waterford’s current average Sunday morning attendance is 250+.  They have five elders, 9 deacons, a pulpit minister and an associate minister.  Any interested applicant should send his resume to Bill Gaw bgaw3119@yahoo.com.

TN/KY: We announced a few months ago that Joshua Ketchum would be moving to teach Bible at Freed-Hardeman University. 7 Oaks in Mayfield has hired Tyler Alverson to be the new preacher at.  He is leaving the Red Walnut Church of Christ in Scotts Hill. You can learn more about Red Walnut on their Facebook page.

WV: The 36th Street church in Vienna, is excited to announce that they have hired Douglas Kashorek of Plattsburg, NY as their associate minister. Doug has 23 years’ experience in ministry.

AR: The Crossroads Church in Bradford, 30 minutes north of Searcy is looking for a preacher. They are a congregation of about 65. AL: Kelly Sims has been named as the new youth minister at Midway in Jasper.

VA: Dean Meadows has accepted the campus ministry job at the Blacksburg Church of Christ. He will  be serving as the campus minister to both Virginia Tech and Radford University. 

TN: Church of Christ in the Glade, Fairfield Glade has hired Alan Cooper to be their new preacher.

WA: The Puyallup congregation is announcing an opening as pulpit minister. They are located in the south Puget Sound region of western Washington. They are a growing, diverse group of believers and children of around 250 served by 4 elders, 8 deacons, and an associate minister. They are seeking a married man with a minimum experience of 5-10 years of full-time ministry, demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written). He should have a Bible degree from a brotherhood preaching school, college or university – Bachelor’s required; Master’s preferred. More importantly, his lessons should accurately reflect and convey biblical truths, the gospel of Christ, and the nature of God. Responsibilities include weekly preaching, teaching of Bible classes, supporting the Bible class ministry, encouragement of the body through providing counselling opportunities (evangelism, pre-marital, etc.), reaching out/visiting members who are shut-in, sick, or discouraged, and actively welcoming and engaging with visitors to the assemblies of the church. Salary commiserate with experience. TN: Justin Reed gets the self scoop. He has accepted the position at Arlington Church of Christ in McMinnville, Tn. This means the Wood Church in Woodbury will be looking for a new minister. It will need to be a bi-vocational work; congregation 30/35 (down 10/15 since COVID). They normally have a spring and fall meeting and VBS. Justin is leaving on good terms and hs been there since 2011. Applicants looking to apply should contact James Prater 615 904-5192.

OH: The Newcomerstown church in Ohio has hired David Kenny to be their new preacher.

TN: The Highland Heights church in Symrna is looking for a youth minister. He will work under the eldership and with the Youth deacon(s), staff, ministers. :Responsibilities include: Help youth develop a rich love for God by teaching Middle School and/or High School Bible classes on Sunday Mornings and Wednesday nights (rotations with others); coordinate teachers and curriculum for Youth Bible classes. Direct/Participate in the creation and implementation of Youth Curriculum. Direct/Participate Lifegroups on Sunday nights for High School students. Plan/Execute/Participate in one annual U.S. based mission trip. Participate in their summer youth camp, Camp Kollao. Plan/Execute/Direct one retreat combined Middle and High school students. Plan/Execute/Participate in periodic recreational trips such as ski trip, camping trip, professional sports games, rafting, hiking, etc . Organize planned recreational activities (make reservations, advertise, collect/ manage funds). Schedule/Attend at least one annual youth rally. Plan/Direct weekly Bible studies as necessary. Organize/Plan/Execute monthly devos for Middle and High School students. Manage Youth Website connected to master website. Manage Youth Ministries social media accounts (twitter, instagram). Foster an engaging, safe, inclusive, service-oriented culture. Provide pastoral guidance/personal contact with the youth and their parents and initiate where necessary. Provide the youth with exposure to, and involvement in, other ministries of the congregation including worship, missions, and service. Fill in where and when needed in the absence of the pulpit minister and others. Be involved in local members' school activities. Develop and administer an annual ministry budget as approved by the elders. Work with other ministry areas in the transition of students from one ministry to the other. Work with parents to assist them in the spiritual development of their children.  Qualifications: Baptized believer and active membership in the church of Christ. Minimum of 2 years' experience leading and teaching in a youth ministry setting. Bachelor's degree preferred. Required competencies: Demonstrated Biblical and doctrinal soundness with ability to teach others. Transparent and high integrity leadership style; focused on excellence. Strong organizational and administrative skills. High level of energy. Strong written and communication skills. Mission driven, positive attitude, team player, and self-directed.
