AR: The Hillsboro Street Church in El Dorado is seeking a full-tine Pulpit Minister. “HSCOC is a “Christ-centered” rather than “church-centered” congregation of 80+ truth-seekers and people who very much love Jesus and want others to know and love Him as well. We believe the Gospel is what the Apostle Paul said it was, Jesus’ work to save us via his death, burial and resurrection (1 Co 15:1-4). We are looking for the right person to join us on our quest to endeavor to keep the first two commands and keep them well. That is to love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength as well as our neighbors as ourselves. The Minister should be a person committed and passionate in doing the same … side by side with us. In 26 years, we have only had two ministers, so we are a stable congregation. We want a person passionate about Bible reading (not just because it is the job), prayer and service. El Dorado is a town of over 18,000 dedicated to re-branding into a music/festival tourism town. We have a gorgeous down-town and an excellent school system dedicated to excellence. If you have school aged children “Google” the El Dorado Promise Scholarship Program. It could pay up to the full amount of your child’s college education depending on the years of school attended. If interested, we desire at least three to five years’ experience with BA degree or better in Bible. Please provide a current résumé with a one-page statement that characterizes your efforts, style and objectives; two DVD recordings of sermons (or links) and four references. Send these to hillsborococ@gmail.com. Our address is 1322 W Hillsboro Street, El Dorado, AR 71730.” Learn more about them at www.hillsborococ.org.
