Wow! This may be the most Scoops we have ever posted in one post and it’s only been two weeks. Thanks to all who pass our contact along so that we in turn can help others.

AL: This post via Justin Guin. A pentecostal preacher in Malawi was converted through World Bible School, and he has since then converted two churches. Through his efforts, 385 people have obeyed the Gospel. The Decatur church in Alabama is looking for Lord’s Supper trays to send them. Do you have extra or ones that are no longer being used? MS: The Rocky Creek church in George County in south Mississippi is looking for full-time youth minister and/or an intern to transition to that following college. The church has about 120 members and three elders. AL: The Glendale church in Florence is looking for an associate minister. Glendale is searching for a young man who can lead singing, minister to youth and young adults, and fill in for the full-time preacher when needed. This position would especially benefit a young man who is currently enrolled at a Christian college and seeking to gain experience in ministry. TX/CO: The University church in San Marcos has hired Sam Dilbeck. He follows who is now teaching full-time at Bear Valley. Sam is leaving his work in Brighton.
AL: This week’s first self scoop goes to Brian Jarrett who is the new pulpit minister at Lexington church. Danny Pettus has just retired there.
PA: The Greensburg Church between Pittsburgh and the western ridges of the Appalachian Mountains is looking for a mission-minded individual to serve as a part-time evangelist, with the potential to be full-time. The church in Greensburg has been around since 1974 and currently has a membership of about 30. They “aim to be the faithful church described in scripture - a group of believers that love God and one another, help those in need, pray continually, and share the good news of Christ with others.” They want to grow - spiritually, individually, relationally, and in number. They do not currently have elders and decisions are made by consensus among the men of the congregation. No formal pulpit preaching experience required but they would like a man of Significant knowledge and experience in leadership who is Comfortable using technology in sermons and lessons and able to connect with the youth. TN: The White House Church of Christ is a growing community 30 minutes north of Nashville. They are seeking a full-time Youth Minister. They are a congregation of about 150 members. The congregation desires a man who will encourage, teach, build relationships, make a difference, and ultimately help lead the young people to Heaven and be a light for the community. OK: Scoop to Gantt Carter: Brandon Tibbits is the new youth & family minister at the 2nd & Adams congregation in Elk City, OK. He and his family are excited as they begin this new work for the King and His people.
AR: The County Line Church of Christ located between Jonesboro and Harrisburg is looking for a new preacher. Their longtime preacher is relocating to be near family. They are a congregation of about 35 in a growing area. The congregation has great facilities and a great potential for growth. TN: The elders at New Johnsonville are happy to announce that they have hired Bobby O’Dell of Dover to be their pulpit minister.
MS: The Rocky Creek church in Lucedale is looking for a new Youth Minister. The previous man in that role served for 8 years. The current minister has served along for the past 13 years with them. They are a church of about 120 members with a 7th-12th group of 20-25. KY: Jerry Brown served as the preacher for the Mt. Zion church in London for 60 years. They are now looking for their next long-term preacher. Mt. Zion is a church of roughly 150 members, post-covid. They would like a man 30-45. He must be a people person. “He must have a strong wife who can teach and hopefully have children. Able to work with young people. TN: The Twomeny congregation has hired Houston Hamblin to begin preaching for them in October. He grew up in that area and has been in Cookeville for the last few years.

NC: The Warners Chapel church in Clemmons has hired Wesley Garland to be their new preacher.
CO: The East Alameda Church of Christ in Aurora is seeking a full-time pulpit preacher. They are a congregation of about 150 that is overseen by three elders. Duties of this full-time position include: Study for, prepare, and preach two sermons per week • Study for, prepare, and teach two Bible classes per week • Perform baptisms as required • Deliver devotionals as required • Be an active member of the congregation • Help prepare the bulletin weekly • Respond to calls, text messages, and e-mails • Keep office hours (Times and days of the week to be determined) • Communicate with elders, deacons, secretary, etc. regarding the work of the church (Contact regarding benevolence for example) • Meet with the elders as required • Manage the office, including resolving technical issues and overseeing the work of the secretary. NEW ZEALAND: John Redmayne contacted us with this interesting request. The congregation of the church in Tauranga {Greerton}. They have between 20-30 in attendance and own their building. They do not have the money to pay a full-time preacher but are looking for retired preachers that would like to spend some time with them to preach, teach and do personal work in the community. They would try to organize accommodations and food for him. They would like a retired preacher not just someone who is retired but does not have a background in preaching. MS: The South Huntington Church of Christ in Kosciusko is looking for a full-time preaching minister. This church has a long history of serving the community and the state of Mississippi as a whole. The church has been served by a bi-vocational preacher for the past 5 years, but is ready to find someone to serve full-time. They are a diverse group that desires to serve God and others.
