Dear Monday
Dear Monday:
It’s early Sunday morning. Like most I’m either up very early or stayed up really late. This week I’m up early. Today is one of those good days. I’m over 2,500 miles from home and I woke up thankful that I get the blessed and honored privilege of preaching God’s Word today - of standing in front of a group of people and proclaiming Good News, of bringing Glad Tidings, of proclaiming Jesus Christ as Lord, as presenting this as the acceptable day of the Lord. This audience will be young and old, they will be educated and uneducated, they will be rich and poor, they will be from a wide variety of backgrounds, they will be young Christians and those new to The Faith, they will be zealous believers, apathetic muddlers, and interested seekers, they will have almost pale white skin and dark black skin, their souls will be of similar hues, they will be married and single - but they will come to hear a Word from and of the Lord. Today I am privileged to be a Preacher. Thank you early Sunday morning, I hope I can remember this feeling every early Sunday morning the rest of my life. Thank you Monday, I hope we can talk like this again next week - until then let’s wind it all up and do it again. And thank you GOD, may the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable to You long before they are presented to others.
Sincerely,
A Servant of God, a Preacher
