Promises From Our Loving Father

Promises From Our Loving Father

We live in a media-driven, sit-com saturated, fairytale world. In this made-up world, seldom does anything seriously wrong happen to us. We are led to believe that life should be comfortable and, that all of our issues can be solved quickly. The problem is, and all of us know, at least intellectually, that this isn’t reality.

In the real world, we experience pain, sorrow, heartache, loss, separation, mistreatment, temptation, guilt, financial concerns, health issues, Church problems and family problems. God never told us that being a Christian or being a preacher means we won’t ever have to deal with these kinds of problems. God never said that everyone will treat us the way they should, or the way we want to be treated. He does not promise us that our friends and family members will never disappoint us.

What He does promise His children is that we will not have to endure any of these alone. Our loving Father promises us that He will walk with us through whatever trials we face. We are promised that there will be some of His beautiful people who will help us bear the burdens of life.

Our loving Father does invite us to approach His throne of grace at any time; 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We are promised that He will never quit on us. He does promise us that because Jesus was victorious, we also can win the victory! He does promise us that if we overcome, we can come over and live with Him forever. He does promise us that if we glorify Him, we can live with Him forever in glory!
