If Ever

If Ever

If Ever…

“…we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God” (1 Corinthians 1:23-24).

“…we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God” (2 Corinthians 5:20).

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes…” (Romans 1:16).

The Stock Market is down 18% from its high earlier this year. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine threatens global stability amidst the talk of potential world war. The latest variant of the Coronavirus has China shutdowns at their highest in two years. Parisian politics so dominates our government, nothing is getting done. A sluggish workforce coupled with the supply chain’s backup makes getting anything done quickly seem a relic of the past. Steep increases in violent crime in many of our large cities has the eroded quality of life in those places.

Refocus on the gospel of Jesus Christ, our mission to teach it, live it, exemplify it, beautify it, spread it, share it. “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it” (John 1:5 NLV).

If ever the world needed GOSPEL it is today. You are needed. Don’t quit.

“How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the messenger who brings good news, the good news of peace and salvation, the news that the God of Israel[a] reigns!” - Isaiah 52:7, cf Romans 10:15).
