Every day Your preachers think about Sunday. Some days they are consumed with their study and preparation. Some days they are reminded of their own humanness, their inability to be what they want to be for You, and the need they have for Jesus. Other days their hearts are broken because of the latest illness, loss, pain, and hurt of someone who will sit and listen to them this week.
Dear God, today, on this Saturday, some of these good men are anxious, they are concerned, and they even question whether their hearts are prepared. Father would You help all of us who preach to remember that You have promised You will not leave us alone. Please give us resolve, please still our troubled hearts, and please let us fully trust in Thee. In the Name of the One who calms troubled seas and troubled souls, we pray, Amen.
