We need You

God:

We need You. As we stand before Your people tomorrow help us to remember that it is our desire to represent what You would want these people to hear, to be exposed to, to be guided by. Help us to remember our true purpose is not cultural but eternal. Not for our country but for Your Kingdom. Not to please our leaders but our Leader. Not to elevate any position unless that is primarily the position of the eternal Potentate. Help us to love these to whom we preach as brothers and sisters in the Family of which You are Head. Help each of us to remember that You are our Defender and Comforter and may each find peace, boldness, and rest in that.
