It's time and beyond for more scoops!  But first this: The last three days The Jenkins Institute has hosted 30-40 YOUNG preachers at the First Years Conference for guys who have preached 5 years or less. It was, well, amazing to be around these young guys who drank in so much and blessed our lives with such hope, faith and energy! The future is bright and not bleak. We are so proud of these young men and their families.

AL: The Lightwood church (about 30 minutes north of Montgomery, AL) is looking for a part-time pulpit guy. AL: Chuck Griffis, evangelist at the Mobile Inner City Church of Christ sends the following: "Community Evangelist (males) and Basic Biblical Life Skills Teachers (females) needed for full-time ministry roles serving with the Mobile inner city mission work in Mobile, AL. Are there any men and women who are planning to go into ministry as a vocation / career that want to serve in the inner city culture full-time? Chuck could use the help. If you want to wait until you finish your degree work at college, that's fine. You should start making plans to raise your own support, and it would be a great idea to start interning with me during the summers so you can get acclimated to the ministry environment. Furthermore, you will need a class 'B' commercial driver license with having passed the air-brakes portion of the test so you can drive a 20-25 year old diesel engine school bus held together with chewing gum and twist ties :D . The role that you would be serving in is that of a 'community evangelist' (males) assigned to evangelize a housing project community, or 'basic Biblical life skills teacher' (females) who would primarily be working with single mothers and teen-age girls in the inner city. For more information on the role description please contact Chuck Griffis at (251) 583-0836, or by email: chuck@miccc.org. A desire to serve and bring the Gospel to the poor should be a characteristic of any Christian seeking to serve in these roles. Please keep the Mobile inner city mission work in your prayers."

That's the news.  Oh, that and that in a few days I (Dale) will become a granddad again as Andrew and Kadee's baby (Mamie Grace) is due any day.
