AL: Maywood Christian Camp is in search of a full-time man to coordinate our newly forming outdoor education and group building program. This person would oversee the operation of elements such as kayaking, ropes course and various other group building events. This person would also work in the general upkeep, promoting and marketing of the camp. This person would need to be a good communicator, teacher and promotor. AL: The Ninth Avenue church in Haleyville continues searching for their next Pulpit Minister. Only six full-time preachers have occupied their pulpit over the past seventy-five years. The congregation has four elders. The criteria used by the eldership in the search process…”a Christ-like man who has dedicated himself to preaching truth in a loving way – to the glory of our Father.” Their current attendance is about 230. About 4,000 people live in Haleyville. They boast an excellent school system and low crime – a great place to raise a family. MI: The Lakeshore church, with an average Sunday attendance of about 65, conducts an excellent VBS. They average 50-60 unchurched children each night. They have had help for a number of years from congregations to make this most effective. They have developed a very good reputation around the church building of putting on a great VBS! They are seeking a congregation that could come in and help with a VBS next Summer - 2019. It is a great outreach. AL: Mars Hill Bible School (MHBS), founded in 1947 in Florence is looking for it’s next President. MHBS is a private, co-educational school that encompasses TK-12th grades and a robust preschool program. IL: The Mt. Vernon Church of Christ’s minister is leaving. Joshua Hartwigsen is to become the minister at the 151st Street Church in Olathe, Kansas at the end of the year. They have about 140 members with five elders and 5 deacons. The work includes a nice building on 13 acres and they are debt free. Their last three ministers have been there 19, 8, and now 10 years. IN: The church of Christ in Newburgh is looking for a full-time pulpit minister. “We are looking for a preacher who is sound in the gospel, strong in scripture, presents challenging sermons, able to work with varying age differences within the congregation, promotes family values, and willing to be active in the congregation and community.
