NC: Fellow preacher and Carolinas icon Claude Pharr passed away. Brother Claude preached for several years at the South Fork in Winston-Salem and the last few years he worked with Main Street in Mocksville. He is the brother of David.
TX: Longtime teacher and preacher Jack P. Lewis has also passed away. His influence and scholarship are legendary.

GA/AL: Scoop to Larry Moncrief. Larry is leaving the Mt. Pleasant church in Valdosta, GA. He is moving to Opp, AL and will be available for fill-in, part-time, or interim work. They are looking for a minister that can do good work with visitation of the current membership of about 25 -30 but also reach out to the area and help them grow. They provide a house. TN: Scoop to Sellers Crain. The Rivergate Church of Christ in Madison Tennessee is looking for a Pulpit Preacher. They want a man who will minister to the members including being an active part of the church family, being with the members when they are going through difficult times, visiting them when they are sick, and associating with all age groups. They would prefer an experienced family man with children, and “a degree in Bible from a more conservative school, a Bible college or a brotherhood school of preaching.” Rivergate has eight elders and twenty-five deacons. AZ: The Camelback congregation in Phoenix is looking to add a youth and family life minister to their staff. Job requirements are posted on their website at www.camelbackchurchofchrist.org. They also announce that they have hired Richard Perry as their new pulpit minister.

MS: The Pontotoc church is searching for a preacher. They are in northeast Mississippi and have just over 100 members including a large youth group. The current preacher has been there for about six years and is leaving on good terms to accept a work closer to family. They want a preacher who will help them connect with God, and others and connect others with God. Someone who can help them grow in an understanding of God’s word, exhort spiritually and encourage the church on their earthly journey. They want a man with at least five years of pulpit experience and would prefer a married man with older children. The congregation has a 3 bedroom house. Interested? Person of moral integrity who lives in a manner fitting a follower for Christ. Self-starter with a strong work ethic.
