New Year Scoops
As the months turned to moments and we look back on 2018 we want to take a minute and just say thanks. 2018 has been by far the best year for The Scoop Blog we have experienced. I heard someone, that I did not know, say that TJI & The Scoop Blog are the go to place in the church today to find what churches are looking. That is humbling to consider but really if that is any credit, it belongs to you. For without you there would be no Scoop Blog or scoops to report. Thank you for reading, thank you for sharing what you know, and thank you for telling others about The Scoop Blog. Brothers, we must support each other.
TN: Jody Marble will be moving to work with the Highway 109 church in Mt. Juliet area as their Youth Minister. This is the church plant of the Mt. Juliet congregation. They start meeting next month with Wayne Miller preaching. Jody was an intern at Mt. Juliet and most recently the YM at the Bartlett Woods church in the Memphis area. www.bartlettwoods.org
TN: The Hilldale congregation in Clarksville has begun searching for the right person to join their ministry team as the new youth minister. MO: A self-scoop to Joshua Ortiz. He is now the new full-time pulpit minister for the South Highway Five church of Christ in Lebanon, Missouri.
MS: Jeff Franks has been selected as the new preacher at McComb. Dennis Jones has been their interim the last 30 months.
TN: Cameron Miller has been hired as the Youth and Family Minister for the Lafayette congregation. Cameron will officially take over after he graduates from Freed-Hardeman in May of 2019.
TN: The Gainesboro church, TN, just outside of Cookeville, is seeking a full-time minister for our church family. They are a Bible-based congregation, seeking to present Jesus to their community and God to the world.This is the church where Wayne Wells (Joe’s dad) preached until his sickness and eventual death took him away from it.
