DE: The Laurel church is seeking a full-time evangelist who can embrace the congregation and help in their service to God. He must have a passion for the lost and an outgoing personality. CT: From David Tarbet, dtarbet@swbell.net. A soul-winning preacher needed in by the church in New Milford to start a congregation in Pittsfield, Massachusetts (Berkshire County). They believe there is great potential for outreach, Bible studies and building up the kingdom of God there. The church needs to be re-planted due to the fact that the only congregation in Berkshire County decided to add instrumental music and women leaders in worship. 130,000 souls live in the county. The New Milford church will help raise support for the preacher. The Lord's church is growing in the New England states. GA: The church at Quitman near Valdosta is looking for a preacher. They hired not long ago but the man they hired ended up taking a job with the military in a ministry role he had wanted — they wish him the best. They would like applicants to be married and possibly have a family that plans to live in or near Quitman. They are looking for a minister in his middle 20’s up to possibly his middle 50’s. Quitman has elders and about 90-110 members. The chosen candidate will need to be able to relate to all age groups. GA: Barry Grider has moved to begin working with the Riverbend congregation in Dalton.
MI: The elders and deacons at Center Road have formed a Search Committee responsible for soliciting nominees interested in ministering full-time to the congregation. He will teach, preach, evangelize, outreach, visit, fellowship, get involved with the community, and work cooperatively with congregational leadership of Elders and Deacons. The most ideal candidate (but not required) has at least 3-5 years minister experience, is married, and has school-aged children. The successful applicant will have demonstrated leadership skills. He will have experience in growing congregations, leading programs like VBS, and implementing innovative ideas and initiatives. Member visitation and restoration is very important to the church there. In addition, the congregation needs lessons that are inspiring, encouraging, and sound. His wife should be willing to be an involved worker in her husband’s ministry. NC: The Raleigh Church of Christ (RCC) is searching for a mature Christian man to serve as the congregation’s Youth Minister. Primary Responsibility: Director of Development is responsible for planning, implementing, and administering a comprehensive fund development program and is personally active in face-to-face cultivation and engagement of prospects and donors.
Responsibilities:
Lead Development Team (including board members) in creating annual development plan
Manage and supervise the Development Associate
Manage all development operations processes including data entry
Oversee all development related communications (print and electronic)
Plan and manage donor cultivation and relationship building
Actively manage key relationships (involving other team members in the process)
Plan and supervise the direct mail process
Establish and enhance a business giving program (emphasis on local prospects)
Establish and enhance a major gifts program.
