Let me close with something that is primarily for information's sake. We DO NOT post churches that use women in leadership in worship, who use instrumental music in their worship, or who have chosen to run away from calling themselves a church of Christ. On that third, yes, there are other good and biblical names but if you are removing that name because you do not wish to be associated with congregations who wear that name, we assume you are also going a different direction than we wish to promote. So, here’s the rule we are breaking. Two churches in Middle Tennessee that use IM have recently parted ways with their preacher. 4th Avenue and Patrick Mead in Franklin and Harpeth Hills and Chris Smith in Brentwood. I mention here for the sake of information and in the belief that a good minister can make an impact and may aid these congregations to move closer to where they have been in the past.
That’s what we have this time. Let us know what we missed at TJI@TheJenkinsInstitute.com. Hope your holiday season is super!
