It's Scoop Time
Yep, it’s Scoop time again. A note or two seems in order. I can’t post EVERY job I hear of. Some churches want our help but don’t want the opening posted. I understand their reasoning even if I may not believe it to be wise. About 3 times a year I’ll post that someone left a work and then get a call from a church saying that they didn’t give me permission to post it. Most of the time, I didn’t post that they were looking, just that the person there was leaving, which was public record. Oh well. I apologize and take it down as soon as I can. With that, here we go…

TN/LA: Crosswinds, yes, the one above has hired James Malone as their new preacher. He will be leaving his work with the Enterprise Boulevard in Lake Charles.
MO: The Forsyth Church of Christ is seeking a Full-time or possibly Part-time retiring minister who “feels his ministry is preaching, teaching and equipping others to serve with heartfelt enthusiasm.” They are a congregation of 40+ members. “The applicant must be solidly grounded and schooled in the scriptures, show passion and enthusiasm for the Lord’s work, have at least five years of pulpit experience within the churches of Christ and have evidence of a successful ministry.” To apply send a resume, current video media of two sermons (a link is acceptable), and a concise one-page statement that characterizes your current ministry efforts, style, and goals. TX: The Oldham Lane church has filled their University Minister position. David Lopez will begin working with their college students in the very near future.
AL: The Central Valley church in Madison, planted in 2017, is looking to hire a part-time worship leader. They are reaching out to the Madison/East Limestone community. His mission will be: • Leading and planning weekly worship (live streamed on YouTube). • Communicate with up-front participants during the week and help ensure they are prepared on Sunday • Coordination of our singing worship on fifth Sundays • Coordinate with A/V leaders to insure song slides are ready for Sunday • Willingness to learn and teach new songs • Enjoy active participation in the life of our Central Valley family. OH: The Spring Road church in Westerville is looking for an Associate Minister - Preaching Minister, Their attendance runs 150. They have 3 elders and two ministers. They are located in a suburban community to the North-East of Columbus. This is a paid full-time position, with the potential to include a parsonage. IN: The Eastside church in Terre Haute a diverse congregation of 150 members is looking for “a man of God to preach, teach, and work beside 3 elders, 5 deacons, and a youth minister. Terre Haute is a city of 60,000 located 75 miles west of Indianapolis along the Wabash River. The area-wide churches of Christ sponsor a Christian summer youth camp just the city limits known as Camp Wabashi. The applicant must “be solidly grounded and schooled in the scripture, exude passion and enthusiasm for the Lord’s work, have at least 5 years of pulpit speaking within the churches of Christ, and have evidence of a successful ministry. AL: The Phenix City church will be looking for a new pulpit minister. Their current minister is leaving on good terms as he is moving to a new congregation. They have two elders and offer a salary with a minister's house and paid utilities. The congregation consists of about 45 members and is right on the main highway.
