Let’s start with two more internships that you might help us fill:
INTERN/SC: The Summerville Church of Christ is a diverse, 300-member church near Charleston, SC with a growing and active youth group. Currently, they have two ministers on staff, but no youth minister. They do have three deacons and many volunteers who work in the youth group ministry. Summerville is looking for both a male and a female summer intern who would be responsible for providing overall leadership to all programming for grades 6-12. This is to be accomplished through both direct delivery and volunteer development. The dates are flexible, but the Summer Kickoff is May 29th and the end of Summer bash is August 4th. They are also positioned to allow interns to be involved in more areas and gain further experience beyond youth ministry and pay will be determined by length of employment. TX: The 630 member Waterview Church of Christ in Richardson is looking for a full-time preaching minister. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of pulpit experience and will challenge members to think and dig deeper into the scriptures. Messages should include addressing difficult topics and current challenges that impact the daily lives of the congregation. He must be willing to teach at all levels of the education program and be engaged spiritually and socially with all segments of the congregation. Should be adept at using technology as a tool to spread the message through blogs, podcasts, and digital messages. TX: The Westside church in Round Rock is searching for a full-time minister. The Lord’s church at Westside is a congregation of approximately 600 with a focus on making disciples, baptizing, and teaching all things (Matt 28:19-20). MS: The West Main church in Tupelo is looking for a Youth/Family Minister. This church has a history of strong support of and encouragement for its ministers and their young people. TN: Chris Bobo has accepted the role as the new preacher at Wartrace. He leaves the youth work at Shelbyville Church of Christ.
TN: The Pond church of Christ in Dickson, TN is seeking a full-time preacher/minister. Pond is located two miles outside of Dickson. This caring group of people numbers in the 80's on Sunday mornings. VA: Robbie Daniel is moving to work as the Youth and Family Minister at the Cawson Street church in Hopewell, VA.
OH: Derek Drake has accepted a full-time role with World Bible School as their Church Relations Manager. This means the church in Loveland will have a minister search. The Loveland Heights Church of Christ (NE Side of Cincinnati), is looking for a pulpit minister. The congregation has added some new members lately and membership is around 70, with weekly attendance in-person around 40 on average, with weekly viewers online as well. The congregation has two elders and two deacons. The position also includes a minister’s house next to the building and the church office is only a few steps across the driveway from the garage. Loveland is a wonderful, growing town with a lot of parks, outdoor activities (bike and running trail), historic downtown, and great schools. OK: The church in Hennessey wants to reach out to all its Spanish-speaking residents. They are looking for a Spanish minister to join the English-speaking minister to reach out to the lost in Hennessey. They plan to use an ESL program to tutor school children and adults and need a Spanish-speaking minister to lead this program. They have several teachers getting certified to teach ESL classes as they strive to become a truly blended congregation, Spanish and English speakers together in worship, fellowship, and service. TN: The Lomax Church of Christ in Hohenwald, Tn is searching for a pulpit minister. Lomax is a church of approximately 200 members with 4 Elders and 6 Deacons. KS: The S. Emporia Ave. Church of Christ in Wichita, KS is in search of a pulpit minister/evangelist. The attendance was approximately 130 on Sunday mornings pre-covid and is now averaging just under 100. Contributions have met the budget throughout the pandemic, and special needs have been also met. There are currently 5 shepherds and 6 deacons and the wonderfully cohesive staff includes a minister of youth/family. The current minister came as an interim, but has stayed more than 5 years and will be leaving on good terms, as the church is very spiritually healthy and is moving forward in dynamic ways. “S. Emporia Avenue church is a very engaged church with many efforts constantly underway. Love and unity prevail in a peaceful environment. It is a conservative, and largely traditional congregation, remaining Bible-based.” There is a nice building, located one mile south of the downtown district of Wichita. The city is the largest city in KS. The city offers three universities, opera, theater, a large sports and entertainment arena, professional baseball, and museums. WV/TN: With the closing of Ohio Valley University where Mike Moss served as dean of the school of Bible and ministry, he will be leaving West Virginia and moving to Lebanon, TN, to be nearer family. This also means he will be leaving the 36th Street Church of Christ in Vienna where he has preached a number of years. The associate minister, Doug Kashorek, will be taking over as pulpit minister. OH: The Loveland church is looking for a preacher. They are a smaller congregation is of about forty. Loveland is a northeast suburb of Cincinnati (more info is available at https://loveland.church/). They compensate the minister by providing a three-bedroom house, utilities, and a salary. The current minister will be leaving in June, so they would like to find someone rather quickly. MS: The Pine Vale Children's Home is looking for a Christian couple to come and work with children from hard places. You would work with children from the age of 12 to 18.
